BHC were appointed as the main Steel Contractor of a £75 million speculative mixed use development, including office, retail and residential sectors in the centre of Edinburgh.
The new build occupies almost the entire south side of St Andrews square, where the former 1960s Scottish Provident headquarters once were. The building contains 100,000 square feet of office space, 55,000 square feet of retail space and 10,000 square feet of residential space.
The development was 100% let on completion.
BHC supplied and erected hot rolled steelwork and cold formed purlins during the construction. This included the supply and installation of metal decking with all necessary safety netting, and edge protection.
