Client: Royal Bank of Scotland
BHC Ltd. were appointed by Balfour Beatty as the structural steelwork contractor for the erection of a Data Centre for The Royal Bank of Scotland.
The new facility was designed to match the existing facility that was previously located on site. The design of the data centre involved the erection of a 39-metre clear span curved portal roof with associated gantries and external plant areas.
BHC were responsible for supplying and erecting hot rolled steelwork, cold formed purlins and side rails. In addition, we installed all metal decking along with the necessary safety netting, steel stairs, open mesh floorings, balustrading, kick plates and off-site intumescent fire protections.
The RBS Data Centre was erected using our own in-house steel erection squads, metal decking squads and mobile cranes.
