The North-West Development consists of a 7,000 person stadia and MCFC head office and is comprised of 4 steel-framed stands.
The East Stand is a 3-storey building sitting upon reinforced concrete pad footings. The ground floor is a ground bearing concrete slab with upper floors being of composite metal decking. The stability systems are in-situ concrete cores. The terracing is formed by precast concrete units upon steel raker beams.
The West Stand is a similar height to the East Stand with accommodation located only on the ground floor. The building sits on reinforced concrete pad footings. The stability system is steel braced frame to level 1 and ridged frame above to the roof level. The terracing is precast concrete units upon steel raker beams.
The North and South Stands are storeys in height with no suspended upper floors. Similar to the other stands, the ground floors are ground bearing concrete slab with the stability system being a steel braced frame to level 1 and a rigid frame above to roof level concrete core.
Structural steelwork was primed and coated using various intumescent paints including 60 minutes of fire protection.
