BHC was involved in the construction of Her Majesty’s Young Offenders Institute Polmont. Works included the construction of the following buildings;
- Gates/ Estates and Stores – Three storey dual pitched roof with a two storey hipped end roof adjacent to a three storey building.
- Games Hall – Dual pitched roof with first floor covering 50% of the building footprint.
- Energy Centre/ Reception – High & Low-level mono-pitched roofs with a small first-floor area.
BHC supplied and erected hot rolled steelwork and cold formed purlins for the project. In addition, BHC supplied and installed metal decking along with all the necessary safety netting.
The project was erected utilising BHC’s own in-house steel erection squads, metal decking squads, mobile cranes and mobile elevated working platforms providing the client with a one-stop-shop.
