BHC was awarded the structural steelwork subcontract from Carillion for the supply, fabrication and erection of steelwork to form several buildings within the HMP Low Moss complex.
The project consisted of the construction of two buildings as follows:
- Facilities Building – Low level dual pitched roof with mezzanine floor and high-level mono-pitched roof with floor level.
- Gate House Building – Mono pitched roof with floor level.
BHC supplied and erected hot rolled steelwork and cold formed purlins for the project. In addition, BHC was responsible for supplying and installing metal decking along with all the necessary safety netting.
The project was erected utilising our own in-house steel erection squads, metal decking squads, mobile cranes and mobile elevated working platforms – providing a one-stop shop for our client.
