Dingwall Academy is a new-build school to replace the existing school. The school has two storeys with dual-pitched roof and a mono-pitched roof over the games hall area.
Building began in mid-2005 and was completed in May 2008. The new school has a range of classrooms with specialist facilities and incorporates several state-of-the-art community facilities, such as a drama studio, all-weather pitches and a library which is used by both the school and the community.
BHC Ltd. supplied and erected hot rolled steelwork and cold formed purlins for the project. We also installed the precast lift structures supplied by Waycon Precast Concrete Lift Shafts, and we supplied and installed Combisafe edge protection to the perimeter; scaffold edge protection to the voids; and supplied and installed all the precast concrete floor planks and stairs.
