University of Glasgow – Learning & Teaching Hub

UOG - Learning and Teaching Hub

Richard Struthers, BHC’s HSQE Manager, recently visited the University of Glasgow to deliver a presentation to a group of Civil Engineering students regarding our involvement in the Steelwork fabrication and development of the new Learning and Teaching Hub on University Avenue.

BHC were successfully appointed by Multiplex as the steelwork sub-contractor for the new development. We will be fabricating and erecting over 980 tonnes of hot rolled steelwork and installing 5,387 square metres of metal decking.

The £90.6 million Learning and Teaching Hub will provide state-of-the-art learning and teaching facilities to the students of the University of Glasgow.

The hub can accommodate over 2,500 students and includes lecture halls, interactive teaching spaces, group study spaces and a cafe.
