BHC have been employed on a Design & Build basis to carry out the Shell and Core works of a new Cash & Carry Warehouse facility at Kinning Park, Glasgow, just off the M8 motorway.
BHC were able to offer Value Engineered savings at tender stage by utilising their own in-house Engineering Department which provided the client with an improved frame design and associated overall reduction in costs.
The works involved the erection of a BHC Value Engineered Steel Frame, with composite roof and wall cladding panels in combination with low level brickwork, including feature LED Strips to the perimeter of the building.
An internal mezzanine area comprising of in-situ concrete floors to form future office space has also been constructed, with the internal office fit out being progressed on site at present.
A significant extension to the originally proposed yard area has also recently been instructed to accommodate the client’s change in requirements. Works are currently underway with the design proposals and BHC aim to deliver within the original construction programme.
