BHC are delighted to announce our involvement in the major redevelopment of the Edinburgh St James Centre. BHC will be responsible for the supply, fabrication and erection of approximately 15,000 tonnes of structural steelwork over a period of two years.

The redevelopment of the Edinburgh St James Centre is one of the largest investments for Scotland. The 1.7 million sq ft development will see the former 1970’s shopping centre replaced with a 850,000 sq ft of retail space, anchored by John Lewis, a multi-screen cinema, the luxurious W Hotel comprising of over 200 rooms and 150 private residential apartments. The development will become the heart of the city, providing excellent connections to the existing retails areas of Princes Street, Multrees Walk and George Street.

Throughout the duration of the project BHC will employ approximately 20 apprentices.
