We are excited to announce our biggest leap yet in BHC’s sustainability journey with our very own on-site anaerobic digester (AD) plant.
The twin 30m diameter digester tanks produce biogas from waste and by-products from our neighbouring farms, which in turn fuel a combined heat and power (CHP) generator.
Together with our wind turbine installed in 2015 and a cutting-edge battery and control system, we are working towards a fully off-grid electrical supply by the end of 2025.
Works are well underway on site and we cannot wait to bring you along on this journey with us!
