Scotland’s First Vertical Farm

Intelligent Growth Systems Vertical Farming

BHC Ltd. have been appointed by Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS) to provide the structural steel for the first Vertical Farm in Scotland.

Vertical Farming is the practice of growing plants and crops in vertically stacked layers using controlled environments. The process of vertical farming uses very little water, no pesticides, LED light and can even enhance the taste of the plants and crops.

The new vertical farm will allow ISG to carry out more research regarding the perfect algorithms to achieve the optimum conditions for growing consistently high quality crops.
